All of the world’s great cities have public works of art. These range from the striking, to the odd, to the thought-provoking. Since Central Square forms part of Menlyn Maine – Africa’s first green city – it is essential to us that we ensure that art is not an esoteric thing and that it can be shared openly with the public. It is therefore with pleasure that we introduce the world-renowned Anton Smit as the first exhibitor at Central Square. Anton brings with him a wealth of experience and expertise in his field and we are proud to host some of his famous  sculptures in and around Central Square. We will also, through the St Lorient Fashion & Art Gallery, host several up-and-coming artists and we believe that giving them space to exhibit will be hugely beneficial to not only their respective artistic profiles, but also to our shoppers, visitors and residents who can get to appreciate art on a daily basis.

Menlyn Maine at its core is a city which strives to create an environment in which people can truly live in wellness. We want people to consciously self-direct their life processes in in such a way that they achieve their full potential. This can be accomplished by living a holistic and encompassing lifestyle which strives to attain physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. Menlyn Maine is a city where you can live, work, and play. It is a fully pedestrianised city where everything is within walking distance. Here you can live an enriched stimulated life in a sustainable manner, and thereby live in wellness.

In addition to being the new central business district in Tshwane, Menlyn Maine will also be the entertainment hub in the City. Sun International hasn’t chosen our city for their latest Casino Entertainment complex for no reason. Menlyn Maine will include the new Sun International Time Square Casino and Hotel, the 8500 seater Time Square arena, the Capital Hotel, as well as all the dining and retail offerings from both Central Square and Time Square. Our vision is to not only cater for the business side of things, but to also enhance the cultural awareness of people through art and events in the city. So watch this space for all the latest events to come to the Capital City.
